Ocean City, NJ Wedding Photographer | Nancy & Steve

Last weekend Jay and I headed down to shoot Nancy and Steve’s wedding in Ocean City, NJ.  It was a great time hanging out with them for the day, and they had QUITE the fun bridal party – those bridesmaids kept me laughing all day!  I think my favorite story of the day was the story Nancy’s Maid of Honor, Trish, told in her speech – she decided to talk about Nancy and Steve’s first date:)  Nancy and Steve were walking along, and she decided they should turn down one street to get where they wanted to go.  Steve said no, they should go the other way.  Nancy said no, let’s go my way.  Steve promptly picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and said, “we’ll go my way”.  Trish said that is when she knew Nancy had met her match:)

The bridesmaids all got ready in the bridal suite in the Flanders Hotel, in Ocean City, NJ….So excited!

Nancy and Steve opted to have a First Look session and see each other before the wedding ceremony.  I can’t say enough how much I love First Look sessions – it’s such an intimate moment that is able to be shared JUST between the bride and groom….and then all nerves and jitters are out of the way before the ceremony:)  It’s also great that you can then get all bridal party and family portraits done before the ceremony, because that way the bride and groom can go straight from the ceremony to their cocktail hour, and not miss any part of their day…..they can just enjoy their guests.  I love this next series in Nancy and Steve’s First Look session:

Let me tell you what, these bridesmaids were SO much fun….what an awesome group of girls:)

Oh man, this cake – it was DELICIOUS.  Nancy gave me a HUGE chunk to take home after the wedding, and I was in heaven….hands down the best wedding cake I’ve ever eaten!
