Today felt like the first real day of winter to me – I noticed that ALL of the leaves are practically off the trees around here, and it was dreary and grey outside, all day long. I actually don’t mind these winter days too much at this point, because it just means that the holiday season is on its way, and it will soon be acceptable for me to listen to Christmas music. And a ton of it. I just plain love Christmas music – *NSYNC’s Home for Christmas CD anyone? Don’t mind if I do:)
Even though it was gross and grey outside, these pictures made me smile today – I actually forgot I had them, because Jay took them on our vacation to the Outer Banks in September. I believe it was the last day of vacation, and at approximately 6 am he attempted to get me up to see the sunrise – when I promptly cut him off and grunted “NO”, and threw the pillow back over my head. I am NOT a morning person. Good thing he is though, because he caught these awesome sunrise pictures, which is adding a little sunshine to this dreary winter day:)
I love how the sand looks like it’s glittering here….ahhhh to be back at the warm beach on vacation again. Summer can’t come soon enough for me!
