Mia

It's shoots like these that make me pray I have a little girl one day - Mia was such a smiley happy little girl, and that dress - come on!  Cutest. Ever.

I'm going to start and end the post with two of my favorites from the day - can you even get over this tooth-less smile???  Cause I can't!

Lovin' life, just hanging out in a big ball of pink ruffles.

That dress!  Loved it.

As soon as Christine (mom) would pick her up, she was all smiles:)

Mia was NOT a fan of the flower headband, but we managed to keep it on long enough for a few pictures:

I think it should be a rule that EVERY little girl needs to have a cherry dress.  Every single one.  So cute!

I always put my lens hoods on when I'm shooting little babies - they love to grab it when I'm shooting!

Aaaand my 2nd favorite, just hanging out with dad - how pretty does she look?  Those eyes!  She's gonna be a heartbreaker:)

Thanks guys!  Had a blast hanging out for the morning:)

Stepping in FRONT of the Camera

I've started to notice something over the past few years - ever since I got into photography, there are pretty much ZERO pictures of me.  Not that I want tons of pictures of myself laying around, but still, I think I need to start hoping in front of the camera more often.  Especially because I recently realized there are practically no pictures of Jay and myself.  I literally think I have less than 10 pictures of the two of us (besides our proposal shoot).  That's just not ok!  Jay and I just started dating when I got into photography, so throughout our whole relationship I've always been the one behind the camera.  I realized all of this when I considered doing a slideshow for my wedding reception - we nixed the idea because our slideshow would last for approximately 8 seconds.  It would be the saddest little slideshow ever.  So now I'm determined to bring my camera everywhere we go and take pictures of the two of us.  If that means balancing my camera on top of a trash can to do it, so be it:)

Last weekend my sister, mom and I decided to have an impromptu photoshoot, because the weather and light was AMAZING.  Well, I decided to have a photoshoot and I made them come with me:)

That light!  YUM!

I guess I forgot to tell them we were doing our "fierce" poses in this picture....

Best. sister. ever.

Happy Tuesday!

My Wedding: Flowery Goodness

Last weekend I headed down to South Jersey to meet up with Mary and Dawn, who were making samples of my bouquet and centerpieces for a bridal show:)  I am SO excited to see what they come up with for my wedding, because their design totally transformed the whole room for Sarah and Joe's wedding.  I also got some shots of them working together - it was fun to see them work in their element, and come up with something amazing in the end:

The sisters hard at work:)  I'm going to leave the full centerpiece up to your imagination - we're probably going to be making some tweaks, and I didn't want to reveal EVERYthing:)

Ahhh but I couldn't keep my bouquet from you!  I am in love love love with this thing.  If you can't tell, my wedding colors are going to be green and black - I think orchids are becoming one of my favorite flowers, and I just love everything about this bouquet!

So like I said, my colors are green and black - in my head I always kinda thought I just picked a random color combination - then I took a quick look around my office, and realized I apparently am in love with this color combo - green apples on my black shelves:

Black and green iPhone case (You would think I would have taken a picture of my phone that DIDN'T display the fact that my case is broken and I'm too cheap to buy a new one.  Oh and I left the windows in my house open all day, to come home to a thin layer of pollen covering our entire house - guess I should have dusted that off before this picture too.  Well, my house isn't perfect all the time, just keepin' it real.  Don't judge:):

Green post-its on my black desk:

So there ya go - apparently my new favorite colors are black and green:)  Don't you just love the bouquet they made?  I can't wait to carry it down the aisle!

On another note, I'm SO excited to head to Pittsburgh this weekend to shoot a wedding with Heather - stay tuned with shots from that next week!

Happy Thursday!
