March Self Portrait: Energized in the City

I consider myself a city girl at heart - I LOVED living right in center city Philly. There is something about the hustle and bustle of city life that energizes me. Even though I don't live too far outside of the city now, I still miss being right in the heart of everything. Jay and I always say that one day, when we retire, we'll buy a condo in the city, ending up right where we started our relationship together:)

Any time I have the chance (or an excuse) to spend a day in the city, I jump on it. This month is the month of NYC - I usually get up there once or twice a year, but this month I was able to head up there twice. I wish every month included 2 trips to NYC:) I headed up in the beginning of March to spend a day with a good friend, and I'm heading up again today for Justin & Mary's Spread the Love tour - I'm so excited! Since this is the month of NYC, I took my self portrait when I was up in the city in the beginning of the month.....even though it was freezing, I wish every day could be like that one:)

Cait’s Baby Shower

I love going to showers. Baby shower, bridal shower, doesn't matter. I was so excited when Cait's sister invited me to be a part of Cait's surprise baby shower - they threw a huge shower with the cutest details, so I had TONS to photograph. Cait is one of my brides, and I just love her to pieces - we've become good friends over the last few months, so I was excited to be there for the celebration of her little boy that's on the way:)

Maybe I secretly love showers because of the delicious food.....

Look at the little vest! I think that was one of my favorite presents:)

Congrats Cait and Chas!! Can't wait to meet little Cooper in a few short weeks!

Bathing Babies in Sequins

Last month I posted pictures of myself cooking, wearing pearls in the kitchen. I got lots of comments on those pearls (which were ONLY worn because I knew I'd be posting pictures on my blog, lets be honest), so I just HAD to take pictures when I was down in North Carolina a few weeks ago, because I realized I was wearing sequins. While bathing a baby. Because not only do I cook in pearls, but I bathe babies in sequins.

Apparently I'm not a huge help, I stood around taking pictures:)

But who can resist a cute baby??

I love kissing those smooshy cheeks:)
