Brookside Country Club Wedding Photographer: Jeanette & Tony

Jeanette & Tony had a gorgeous wedding - HOT, but gorgeous:)  The temps were up around 100 all day long for their wedding, but neither of them seemed to mind....they were just so excited to be getting married.  At least it wasn't an outdoor wedding - they had their ceremony at St. Joseph the Worker and held their reception at Brookside Country Club - I used to live RIGHT next door to this venue!  Always fun to head back up to Allentown for weddings:)

Jeanette and Tony met in high school, and got engaged in Key West. Their proposal story is one of my all time favorites - Tony proposed to Jeanette on a boat during their trip to Key West - right after he popped the question he surprised her by having their best friends and family come out of the inside of the boat!  I love that he arranged for everyone closest to them to come down to Key West and celebrate their proposal - these two are the sweetest!

Here are some of my favorite images from their day, and you can always check out even more in their SLIDESHOW!

Love her gorgeous dress:

I always love this moment when dads see their daughter for the first time on the wedding day - it was a very emotional moment:

One of my all time favorite "groom seeing the bride for the first time" shots - he was full of emotion, the best man looks on in excitement, and mom lends a calming hand:

Married!

They had a fun grand exit from their church where all of the guests were given wedding bells to ring as they ran by:

I always love this moment too - immediately after the ceremony, checking out the new rings for the first time:

Even though it was HOT HOT HOT, we ventured outside for a while for portraits - LOVE how these turned out. You can't even tell it was 100+ degrees:)

Favorite #1 from the day:

Favorite #2!  I love that this whole series was "unscripted", they were just being their cute selves under this tree:

Kitchen Grand Reveal

And the kitchen is finally done. Totally and completely done. FINALLY!  Ahhh it feels like heaven to not be living in chaos anymore:)  When I was getting this post together I forgot how absolutely awkward our layout was before, it looks so much more put together now. I'm absolutely in love with the finished result, and have to give a HUGE shout out to Jay for this one. We always say we perfectly compliment each other as a couple. I HATE researching big house projects like this, so my solution is to just not do it at all. He doesn't love it, but will get all of the research and quotes taken care of. He isn't too great at keeping up with every day life since he works crazy long hours, whereas I'm anally organized, and will make sure all bills are paid on time and our house is nice and straightened up and clean every day....it just works!

And now for the big reveal, the befores:

I TOTALLY forgot how awkward this side of our kitchen looked:

Half of the kitchen was removed:

A completely bare kitchen:

And the big reveal, OUR NEW KITCHEN!!

Doesn't it look 1000x better?? It just looks so much more like it belongs, and really fits our neighborhood (we live in a really old area of Philly, where there are lots of SUPER old homes because it used to be a vacation area for people who lived in Philadelphia way back when).

Love our new glass top stove:

And my favorite part of the kitchen - our new faucet! It's a Delta touch faucet, so you just tap it to turn it on, and tap it to turn it off - comes in handy when you're cooking and your hands are a mess:

I love that we now have cabinets built in over our fridge - it always looked so bare above the fridge before.  I also had to include a picture of our trash cans - it's Jay's favorite part. They're all the soft close drawers, and now we FINALLY have a spot to put our recycling!  Before we used to just pile it up on our counter until one of us broke down and took it out to our garage, and it always took up a ton of counter space.  Now we finally have a spot for both trash and recycling:

One last before/after:

Let me know what you guys think!! It's sweet relief to have it totally DONE:)

Gail - July 9, 2012 - 3:23 pm

Um yeahhhh….so how did I never comment on this post before?!!! Yeesh. Love the kitchen. Now, the big question since you’ve gone all fancy is, Are there still Poptarts in the pantry? :)

Andrea McVeigh - August 29, 2011 - 9:13 am

It’s perfect. I absolutely love everything you did. Well thought out and executed. It’s just beautiful! I’m very happy for you both :) . Please keep in touch :) . Thank you so much for sharing the photos with me. I love that you are enjoying your home. It means more than you know! Andrea

Sarah - July 26, 2011 - 12:46 pm

Gorgeous! In 10 years I know who to consult when I convince Joe we need a major overhaul, unlike our current fix up. I really think a framed teacup tile has it’s place in there though ;-)

Roanna - July 26, 2011 - 12:25 pm

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer: Erin & Bryan

We spent Erin & Bryan's engagement session in my favorite way possible - wandering around the streets & allies of center city:)  Despite the heat wave last week and the looming storm clouds overhead, we had an amazing session, and I'm so excited about these images:)  Bryan and Erin actually met through Ania, another one of my 2012 brides!  Ania and Dennis are in Erin & Bryan's bridal party, and vice versa - I love that I'll be seeing a lot of these two couples next year!  Bryan also randomly went to the same high school as I did, and I had no idea - it's such a small world!

We started off the session on the front stoop of their house in Philly - I love the little street they live on (their stoop is the one with the red door):

PS, can I have legs like yours please Erin? K great thanx:)

I loved this little alley on the left - all along the road the trees had christmas lights all  lit up - that's what I love about the city!

Then their dogs Jimmy & Beans joined in on a few shots:)

They were very distracted by squirrels hah....

Laurajane - July 25, 2011 - 3:57 pm

Gail - July 25, 2011 - 9:16 am

LOVE this session Tina! Gorgeous locations (can I live in their place, please? Maybe just the front stoop?) and I’m a sucker for Bryan’s cute Aasic shoes! Love the casual fun feel to these!
