Weddings in Review: 2011

What? 2011 is over? Am I the only one that is in shock over this? This year completely flew by for me, it's crazy how fast time flies the older you get. 2011 marked my first full year as a full time photographer, and it.was.amazing. It still shocks me sometimes that THIS is my job. The fact that my dream turned into my reality really blows my mind, and I have each and every one of my clients to thank for that. So to all of of my brides, grooms, engaged couples and families, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Without you my dreams wouldn't be possible, and I'm proud to say that this year has turned out to be better than I planned, expected, or even hoped for:)

December Self Portrait: A Trifecta of Loves

Hey guys, guess what? Did you know I love Christmas? That may or may not have been the topic of discussion on 95% of my blog posts this month:) I guess that's old news at this point. Another thing I love? Cities. I love visiting cities, shooting in cities, and living in cities (I definitely miss living in center city Philly). There is no city more impressive than NYC, I'm so lucky that I live a short bus ride away from Manhattan. I sometimes wish I would have moved there just to say I did it at one point in my life, but there are definite pluses to owning a home outside of a city - not having to pay an arm and a leg for parking (it's free! ha), having a grocery store a short drive down the road, not having nasty city smells on every corner. Thank goodness Jay and I have a bunch of friends that live in NYC, so we have a few places to stay whenever we want to get our fill of the city. We're heading up there for New Year's Eve (NOT Times Square), and I.CAN'T. WAIT. Any excuse, and I'm there:) Add a delicious amount of sugar to my two loves just mentioned? It's a perfect trifecta:)

That just about sums up the highlight of my month, does a day get much better than that? I submit that it does not:)

Such a fun photo! And, I’m just so proud of you for finishing a whole year of self-portraits. My project ran out of steam sometime around August!

First Christmas with a Baby Around

I got to spend my Christmas with this little nugget - isn't she the cutest?

I snapped some shots of her in her Christmas outfit right after we got home from Christmas Eve church - she had MANY different outfits for the occasion, but this one was the cutest....I could just eat her up! It's so fun having a baby around for all of our family get togethers. It makes things so much more fun:)

This little nug. How can you resist those cheeks? I sure can't:)

I'm still out of town visiting with this little girl (and some other family members), I'll be back to normal business next week!
