This month, Jay and I started on a new, healthier way of eating. It's called the 4 Hour Body - I first heard of it from , he lost a TON of weight in the last year. We both had some weight we wanted to drop, and overall just start having better eating habits, so we decided to give it a shot.
The first week was ROUGH. To say I like my sweets is an understatement (obviously you aren't supposed to eat sugar on this diet). I had a REALLY hard time not having a little something sweet after my dinners. Plus, when you're first trying diets and trying to find recipes you like, it can be pretty hit or miss. By day 3 I wanted to stop, but good thing Jay is on board, he made me push through. So far we're about 3 weeks into our new, healthier, eating ways, and I'm glad I stuck with it. I feel a LOT better lately. And the best part of this diet? It requires you to take one cheat day a week. One day where you can eat anything and everything you want. It's just what I need to get through the week, knowing I can have anything I want to indulge on by Saturday. Mentally knowing I'm not TOTALLY cutting out everything I love really helps me get through the week:) Also - you're allowed to have red wine! I never loved red wine, but since it's allowed on the diet, I've become a fan:) That's where my January desktop came into play!
So far, after 2 weeks I'm down 6 pounds, and Jay is down 10 - I consider that a pretty huge success! We'll be adding in the exercise portion of the 4 hour body in the next week or so, I'm excited to see even more results:)
Here is my breakfast every morning - two eggs and a tomato. Even though the diet is getting easier and easier every week, it's STILL a diet. And this is how I feel a lot of times while eating:)

Happy Friday!

I’m interested to see what you think of this moving forward. We read the book, tried it a bit and changed our mind on it after how I felt from eating the meats. Hopefully it works better for you guys though!!!
Eggs and tomatoes?! oh man you have dedication, girl! Grant has actually been on a very low carb diet since October hand has lost over 50 pounds! If you want some really tasty low carb dinner suggestions, let me know!
Keep it up!!
Oh gosh girl….I could never do that breakfast. Tomatoes? Blech. Here’s hoping it gets easier! And no fruit on that diet either??? I live for bananas – haha…
I will say, I’m glad you linked to that post of Becker’s — those veggies he made look DELICIOUS! Gonna try that!
That diet sounds a like the GM diet that Simon and I did a while ago. It was not fun! But sounds like you guys are doing great at it!!
