I don't know about anyone else in Philly, but this fall I can't even COUNT how many engagement/portrait shoots I've had to re-schedule because of the weather. I shot Trisha & Aaron's session earlier this week, and I believe this was the fourth or fifth time we had to re-schedule....but I'm glad we waited for perfect weather, because we couldn't have asked for a better day. It warmed up a little this week, and the light was absolutely perfect:)

For their shoot they wanted to bring along their friend's old car he restored over the years, it was the perfect prop for the session - isn't it awesome??

 

I think it would be so fun to ride around in a car like this - we got lots of stares driving from spot to spot:)

The light....the fall leaves - I'm in love!

 

I loved these stairs, with the fall leaves all over the place. Put an awesome couple right in the middle, perfect!

 

I couldn't stop coming back to this photo when I culled their session....there's something about the light, their expressions, the angle...I love everything about it:)

 

Trisha & Aaron are getting married in North Carolina in the spring, and I'm so excited to be shooting my first North Carolina wedding!  Super excited for that one:)

It was so great FINALLY meeting up with you guys!

Last Friday I met up with Chrissie & Mike for their engagement session in Center City Philly.....the DAY before their wedding:) Better late than never, right? Between their work schedules, my schedule, and the weather, we had to wait up until the very last minute for their session. I'm glad we did, because we had PERFECT weather walking around the city. And if you live in Philly, well, you know what the weather was like this past Saturday for their wedding. More on that later:)

We started out down on the Ben Franklin bridge....I've never WALKED on the bridge before....driven over it many, many times, but it was fun starting somewhere I've never shot:

 

Next we wandered around old city a little bit....

 

LOVE the green & yellow leaves....fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! These are two of my favorites below:)

 

I love the way these two make each other laugh:)

 

Next up....Broad Street in front of City Hall!

 

Then we hit Love Park....I always try shooting from different angles here, I liked this one:)

 

We walked around to the other side of Love Park, to the exact spot Mike proposed:)

Guys, thanks for making time for the session the day before your wedding!  I'm glad we hit all of the "Philly" spots when we had nice weather:)

I'm loving that more and more of my clients are opting to do their engagement sessions during sunrise - it's always a little painful waking up suuuuper early, but the results are ahhh-mazing:) Jess & Matt live right near the beach in New Jersey, so a sunrise session along the ocean seemed perfectly fitting for them.  I was a little nervous when they were calling for rain all day, but we ended up with an amazingly beautiful sunrise, it  couldn't have been more perfect.  Granted it was a little chilly (I think it was in the 40's when we started, they were troopers), but we warmed up once the sun came up, and I had such a great spending my morning with these two:)

I said it before and I'll say it again - I love that my job involves spending time with awesome couples on a beach. I love it:)

The houses in Spring Lake are ridiculous - like, ridiculously awesome. I think this garage probably nicer than my house....
