Ooo girl! My dad sent me his Nikon gear (D300 + some lenses) so I’m going to play around with it to see if I like it better than the 7D. What are your thoughts so far? I’ve been playing with it for the past 20 minutes and so far I’m LOVING how fast it locks focus.

how much for the pocket wizards?

Renee' Willard - March 5, 2012 - 3:07 pm

I am interested in the 5D for $900, but was wondering if you would make payment arrangements with me. I can only afford $25 a week. I understand if you do not want to go this route, but does not hurt to ask. I love taking pictures, but at the moment I am homeschooling my girls. Will like to eventually take pictures for a living.

Thanks,

Renee’

Hello!

Do you still have the Mark II 5D for sale? Would you consider selling it for $1,600. I have a friend who is looking one.

Also, I’m looking the 70-200mm 2.8 IS L. Is yours in great shape? Any known problems?

Do you have to charge sales tax on the equipment? I’ve never charged tax on my equipment sales so I’m just checking on that too.

Millie

Hello Tina,
I am interested in three items you currently have.
The Canon 24-70 2.8
one 580 speedlight (used)
and one 5d mark 11 battery.
I could offer you $1200.00 cash for all three.
Please consider this offer.
Thank you
Elaine

February Self Portrait: Irish Beauty

No, I'm not calling myself an Irish beauty - just to clarify:) I still can't get over how much I loved Ireland, it's such a beautiful country. I'm so glad I can finally say I've been to Europe - got my first stamp in my passport book at the age of 28! Taking an international trip has been on my list of things to do for a LONG time, so I'm glad I can finally say I've done it. And it couldn't have been to a more beautiful place. A LOT of our trip was spent in the car, driving from city to city. Normally I wouldn't want to spend a lot of a trip in a car, but seeing all of the country side was breathtaking.

I couldn't pick just one self portrait this month, so I'm including two:) This first one was one of my favorite parts of the trip - we were driving from Dublin to Dingle, on Conor Pass. We pulled off the road to take some pictures, and Mike decided to hike up the side of the mountain a little bit - glad he did, because there was an amazing lake half way up, that we would have never known about. There were no signs or anything marking that a lake was up there. So we all hiked up after him (Bridget in her heels, such a trooper), where we took in some of the most amazing views. In this shot the lake is behind the camera (I'll post photos later), and there is a straight drop down in front of the rock I'm standing on. You can't tell in this picture, but I also earned the nickname "muddy bottom" here, since 2 minutes before this picture was taken I slipped and fell in a huge pile of mud. Yep, my whole back side is covered in mud in this picture. Good times.

2nd February self portrait - taken in the streets of Galway. This was my favorite city we visited in Ireland. This city was exactly what I imagined Ireland feeling like, with cobblestone streets and hearing Irish music pour out from the restaurants and shops....I wish we could have spent more time here. So this is me, in the streets of Galway, with my new Irish wool hat:)

I can't wait to share the rest of my pictures next week - more coming soon!

They are both adorable, but that first one, OMG. AMAZING. P.S. Falling into giant mess of mud = totally me. That’s why I love you!

Recovering

Aaaand we're back! We just got in from Ireland yesterday, so today is going to be spent recovering. Time to put myself back on the diet (I'm afraid to see what the scale says after that trip), hydrate myself (I may have indulged in a pint or two), and get back on a regular sleep schedule. The time change hit me hard, I was in bed at 7:45 yesterday....I just could not keep my eyes open any longer. Add in the fact that I think we each got 20 hours total of sleep during the trip - yeah, today will be spent recovering:)

Even though we were only there for 5 days, it felt like 3 weeks....and I mean that in the best, most amazing way possible. We packed SO much into those 5 days, and it was one of my favorite trips ever taken. Jay and I are now plotting ways to buy a house in Ireland:)

I was going to post a few iPhone shots from my trip, until I scrolled through my pictures and realized I only had pictures of Guinness. So here you go. Many, many more posts to come soon:)
