We're closing on our new house in Harrisburg in 6 days, and I'm so anxious to just MOVE already. We sold our house a little over two months ago - and while it was nice to have a lot of time to find a house of our own, and a ton of time to pack, I'm just ready to go. It felt like this day would never come! Since we had so long to get our house in order, we've been slowly packing for the past few weeks. Which means we've been living out of boxes for what feels like months now. I'm SO ready to be done sifting through boxes and having crap piled up in our house everywhere.

It's a mixture of emotions, between excited/anxious and sad/nostalgic.....but I'm excited to embark on this new chapter in our lives with Jay by my side. And thankfully, in a few weeks, there will be no more of this:

I've been loving shooting all of these weddings before it gets too crazy hot out. Suz & Ryan held their wedding at The Merion, which is a gorgeous location. Their wedding was just as sweet as they are as a couple, and I was so happy to celebrate with them. Suz & Ryan met in college their freshman year, when they had a class together. Ryan played detective and found out Suz's name by checking the attendance sheet the professor passed around.....he worked up the nerve to ask her on a date at the end of the semester, and the rest is history:)

I met up with Ashley & Russ last week and Parvin State Park, down in south Jersey. I was so excited to meet up with them in Harrisburg this week, we wandered all around the alleys of downtown Harrisburg for their shoot, and found some awesome spots. I was so glad we had nice weather for their session, because their wedding is just about 2 weeks away. I love that they're building a house not far from where Jay and I are moving - I'm excited to know people in our new town already! Marlisa and I used to work together when I had my old accounting job, it's always so fun catching up and re-connecting with people from your past:)

This weekend, it finally happened! Allison & Chris held their wedding at the Nittany Lion Inn, and I was BEYOND excited for an excuse to head up to Penn State for a weekend. Plus, they scheduled a TON of time for photos all around campus, so I was in heaven:) Allison & Chris met and started dating while they were both students at Penn State, so it was perfectly fitting that they held their wedding to celebrate with all of their friends and family at PSU. Allison & Chris are such a sweet, totally in love couple. It's so fun photographing two people who are so great together - Chris is constantly making Allison laugh, and when she just looks at Chris her whole face lights up. I had so much fun with you two!

I've been working with a web designer to give my website & blog a big overhaul, and I can't WAIT to see the final product and put it online! I've already seen a preview from the fabulous Tiffany Kelley, and I can't wait to see the rest of what she comes up with. I'm going to be combining my website and blog into one, and I'm making the whole site much more "me".  I'm not quite sure when it's going to go live, but I'm hoping it's fairly shortly:) We'll see!

I realized I never shared some more of my updated headshots - I cringe when I look at the heashots on top of my blog right now. Can't wait to get these new photos on my new site! My good friend Amanda and I did a headshot swap a few weeks back, and the ever-fab Jess did our makeup. Here are some that you MIGHT see on my new site:)

These feel SO much more "me", and I can't wait to see how they're incorporated in my new site! Fingers crossed I can publish everything soon!

I've had the pleasure of working with some amazing ladies who are nurses in the NICU at CHOP, so I wanted to do a special blog post dedicated to them:) They just happen to be some of my favorite clients ever, each one of them was so much fun to work with. I'm so in awe of anyone who can work as a nurse in an intensive care unit - it takes a special kind of person to do that job, it's such an important role. My sister works in a PICU down in NC, and from some of the stories she has told me, I don't know how she does it. I'd be a crying mess dealing with some of the things she has to deal with at work. For as tough as I'm sure the job is, I'm sure it can be such a rewarding job as well. To all the nurses, thank you for doing what you do!

I am ABSOLUTELY still booking and shooting weddings in Philly after I move to Harrisburg! I had a vendor friend of mine tell me that she's now come across three prospective brides who told her they didn't contact me to shoot their wedding because I'm not working in Philly any more - SO NOT TRUE! I didn't want to pound it in peoples' faces that I'm still working here, but after hearing that, I realized I need to. I love my Philly weddings, and I'll absolutely still be shooting here! So if you're getting married in the area, I'd love to hear from ya:)

Just wanted to make sure it was crystal clear for everyone!

Now that our settlement date is creeping closer and closer, I'm getting a little sad to leave our first house. I'm realizing all of the things I'll miss, but trying to keep the exciting future in mind as well. I'm going to miss this little pink tree in our front yard!
