LOVE this ring shot - isn't it an awesome ring? Mariana was telling me how there is no such thing as "engagement rings" in Brazil - you usually just decide as a couple that you're engaged, and that's that! They only exchange wedding bands. AND they wear their rings on their right hand, instead of left. She got an engagement ring anyway, and I love that she did:)

They also brought along their dog, Shea - let me tell you, this was the best behaved dog in the world, I couldn't get over it. She is only 2 years old and is a higher energy breed, but I've NEVER seen a more well behaved dog! Rob, I really need to take some dog training lessons from you:)

For their shoot they wanted to bring along their friend's old car he restored over the years, it was the perfect prop for the session - isn't it awesome??

I think it would be so fun to ride around in a car like this - we got lots of stares driving from spot to spot:)

The light....the fall leaves - I'm in love!

I loved these stairs, with the fall leaves all over the place. Put an awesome couple right in the middle, perfect!

I couldn't stop coming back to this photo when I culled their session....there's something about the light, their expressions, the angle...I love everything about it:)

Trisha & Aaron are getting married in North Carolina in the spring, and I'm so excited to be shooting my first North Carolina wedding!  Super excited for that one:)

It was so great FINALLY meeting up with you guys!

We started out down on the Ben Franklin bridge....I've never WALKED on the bridge before....driven over it many, many times, but it was fun starting somewhere I've never shot:

Next we wandered around old city a little bit....

LOVE the green & yellow leaves....fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! These are two of my favorites below:)

Got a shot with Cait and my favorite house behind them. One of those row homes runs for about $5.5 million. No biggie.

Looooved this staircase, it's perfect. Hopefully the owners didn't mind, they were all standing in the kitchen (which is in the basement, with a window directly to the right). Oh well!

And one last shot that pretty much summed up our engagement session experience: Cait and I giggling as I tell her to do the "olan mills" pose, while Chas just looks at us like we're nuts. Loved every second of it:)

When Andrea told me Zach lives on a farm in Jersey, I immediately asked her if she'd be interested in a sunrise session - lucky for me, she agreed!  (Andrea, thank you thank you for getting up at 3:30 am to get ready!!)  We spent the morning walking around Zach's farm getting some amazing shots. It was so weird to be done with a session by 7am, but I loved it! I want to do more:)  Andrea & Zach are such a sweet couple.....Andrea, thanks for trusting me when I asked you to climb through weeds and into the corn fields....you guys are the best!!  Here are a few of my favorites from their session:

Guys, I had SO much fun with you guys for the morning - thank you for trusting me with the sunrise suggestion & climbing in fields and weeds! It was totally worth it for the shoot:) Can't wait for the wedding in 2012!

I loved getting to know Chris too, they have such a great bond that you can really feel:)  When they first met, Kathleen was dating someone else, but says as soon as she shook his hand she felt a spark inside that she never forgot. Soon after she ended that relationship, and kept running into Chris around town....fate's way of pushing them back together:)  She ended up moving to Florida right after they started dating, but moved home 10 months later, not being able to stand being that far apart. A little while later Chris proposed (including their cute-as-can-be puppy, Tucker, in the proposal), and they're set to be married in July 2012.  I can't wait for the wedding!

Then we brought out Tucker for a few!  They rescued him when he was just 10 weeks old, and he only had 3 1/2 legs (he had no shoulder blade).  One fake shoulder implant later, he's all recovered and is happy as can be:)

We started off the session on the front stoop of their house in Philly - I love the little street they live on (their stoop is the one with the red door):

I loved this little alley on the left - all along the road the trees had christmas lights all  lit up - that's what I love about the city!

Thanks guys, I had so much fun wandering the city with you!  And thanks again for the bottle of wine (you know me too well, I loooove white wine!).....first Ania bakes me cookies, then you give me a bottle of wine....you guys are the best!!

Ania grew up in Switzerland but moved to the States when she was in high school....their paths crossed in Tennessee (Dennis is from Nashville), when Ania injured her knee and needed physical therapy afterwards. Dennis just happened to be her physical therapist, and they've been together ever since:)  They moved up to Philly since Ania is getting her PhD at Penn (is she a smarty pants or what?!?), and they've now been here for 3 years....I can't wait for their wedding next July!!

Isn't she exactly what you expect when you imagine a girl from Switzerland?? Blond hair, blue eyes....gorgeous!
